We are looking for:

1)  A change in airway cross sectional Area & Volume with advancement of jaw or opening of the vertical

2) Abnormally narrow sections of airway 

 

   This information allows us to:

1) Isolate individuals that are not likely to be Airway Orthotic Candidates reducing the likelihood of treatment failure

2) Ensure that a change in jaw position results in a favorable change in airway cross section and volume

3) establish advancement and vertical parameters for fabrication of the Airway Orthotic
